Northern Uproar
(Stand II)

Reviewed by The High Priestess

A conventional stand-up show from Barnsley's Toby Foster and Liverpudlian Brendan Riley. Apparently they were doing the show to dispel some of the northern stereotypes, but used them to great effect.

Basically, if you want to travel 'oop north' for a bit of comedy then this is the one. It's in the smallest venue I have ever seen in my life - the bar is a fridge in the box office and there must be something like 25 seats in the entire room, but it gives it a lovely cosy atmosphere.

I'd recommend this if you've already seen a show and are looking for a late-night comedy extension. It's just two northern blokes doing their acts, but they do it well.
